Mark was born on 16th January 1969 in Welwyn, Hertfordhire to a Malaysian mother and British father. He and his brother Alex grew up in St Albans.

After leaving school he joined TV company Telegenic in 1988 before moving to Hong Kong in 1993, where he now lives with his wife Angela and son Jules.

Training & Talks



Mark has devised sound recording workshops for several schools and colleges, including the HK Academy of Performing Arts and the WildlifeAsia film festival in Singapore. He has also given many talks on his work, including at the Royal Geographical Society (HK).
